8 The Community Banker www.mibonline.org THE COMMUNITY BANKERS WEBINAR NETWORK PARTNERS Featured Associate Member E ver wonder how webinars get made? No? Yeah, neither did I. I’m serious. During my 20-year career as a Montana Independent Banker, not once did I ever sit back after watching a training webinar, kick my feet up on the desk, and daydream about how all that super-urgent regulatory information found its way into such a convenient, accessible, and easy-to-follow (almost magical, right?) webinar. The Community Bankers Webinar Net- work partners with the folks at Montana Independent Bankers to bring all those near-magical webinars right to your desk. We work with over 30 state bankers associations, keeping community bankers across the U.S. up-to-date on vital regula- tory topics, procedural best practices, and career-advancing tips designed for you — the Independent Banker. And we do it all right from our headquarters in Helena, Montana. How do we do it, you ask? Okay, you didn’t ask, but here’s the scoop. First off, we’re well-connected to indus- try experts across the country whose job and passion it is to keep community bank- ers at the top of their game. We hire these experts to share their knowledge with you in every webinar we offer, bringing the most relevant and impactful topics to Montana bankers. Second, we ask you what you need and want. We recently created a banker’s advisory group consisting of executive-lev- el bankers from around the nation. Two of these advisors are Montana bankers! These seasoned veterans of community banking respond to a couple of surveys each year, telling us about the most-needed regulato- ry and training hot topics. Third, we communicate directly with your MIB Executive Director, Jim Brown, to get his take on what bankers need and want from us. Keep talking to Jim. Tell him what’s on your mind. From your legisla- tors to the Community Bankers Webinar Network, Jim is excellent at getting your messages to the right sets of ears. Finally, we bring together all the best people, technology, and expertise to pro- duce the highest quality and most relevant and impactful web-based training available to bankers across the nation. And we part- ner with the Montana Independent Bankers to bring that training directly to you. Now you know more than you ever wanted to about how webinars get made. You may have also noticed that when you purchase your training through MIB, all your Montana dollars go to support Montana banks and Montana families. For this, I thank you.
