The association hosted its annual MSU football tailgate party on Sat- urday the 13th prior to the homecoming game. On the 12th, the MIB held its final board meeting of the year at the Element Hotel in Bozeman. Guest speakers included Melanie Hall, head of the division of banking, and Congressman Greg Gianforte. On Friday morning, the association participated in a board meeting of the MSU Community Banking program. In addition, the association joined the Jake Jabs College and Business in hosting an entry for the program in the MSU homecoming parade. T he Community Banking Program at Montana State University had the honor of hosting Neel Kashkari, President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minne- apolis, in Bozeman, MT on September 5, 2018. MIB provided the seed money to inaugurate the program being hosted through the Jake Jabs College of Business at MSU. Kashkari spoke to the community bank- ing program students directly and then took questions from the public in an open forum. Mr. Kashkari’s appearance at MSU is a testament to the high quality of the community program, even though it is still in its infancy. MSU'SCOMMUNITYBANKINGPROGRAMUPDATE
