If you are attending the ICBA convention, be sure to drop by for good food and drinks and great conversation! Plans have been finalized for another fantastic MIB Convention & Tradeshow–to be held at the Big Sky Resort on July 16-18, 2015. I couldn’t be more excited to announce that Tom Parliment of Parli- ment Consulting Services and Jim Nowak of United Bankers’ Bank will be joining us as featured workshop presenters. Associate members Chris Thomas and Eric Jensen of Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle and Angela Murdo and Mike Tobiason of Anderson ZurMuehlen will also give great workshops. Finally, Patrick Barkey, Director of UM’s Bu- reau of Business and Melanie Hall are back by always-popular request. Information is being posted at www.mibonline.org/convention and we expect convention packets will go out in the next month. Be sure not to miss this great in-state event! And as it is the start of a new year, don’t forget to renew your mem- bership with MIB. We have a great new agreement with our good friends at Anderson ZurMuehlen & Company, which is offering MIB members free board training packets, discounted in-house training and biannual banking roundtables. Also don’t forget to sign up for the Community Bankers for Compli- ance Program, which was hugely successful in 2014. Compliance for all of us is an on-going process, and this program has filled in a lot of gaps for institutions –AND has gained compliments from the regula- tory folks! You won’t find a better or more cheaper way to get expert assistance in your compliance training. Hope everyone has a prosperous 2015! Don’t forget to take time to enjoy our great state!
